INOUE RIBBON INDUSTRY Co., Ltd. was established in 1948 as a manufacturer of ribbons for clothing. The company's "RIBBON PROJECT", highlighting the characteristic texture of ribbons in the form of everyday life, was born out of Inoue's desire to create ribbon products that can directly touch consumers.
Ribbons are generally used as a wrapping material. And although simple in shape, ribbons can turn an ordinary box or present into a joyful occasion. Ribbons incorporated into everyday products will surely add color to daily life.
INOUE RIBBON INDUSTRY Co., Ltd. also develops ribbon products that incorporate other materials, while constantly looking for new ways to present the attractiveness of ribbons.

About the Designers

Reiko Miyata
Born in Yokohama in 1977. After graduating from the design department, Kuwasawa Design Institute, started to work as a free-lance designer. Now working on the planning and production in the fields such as product design, space design, image, graphics, and web design.

Flask
This is the design unit which was established in 1999. The unit has the members such as Matsumoto Naoko and Sato Ryuichi. Based on the concept "design focusing on the emotion and action of the people", the unit is designing space.
