KAGAMI CRYSTAL Co., Ltd. established by Kozo Kagami, opened Japan’s first crystal glass factory in 1934. Since its foundation, the company has pursued higher glass-making skills and techniques, including hand-blowing, hand-cutting and engraving, to fashion
its original quality glass products. The company’s “benedetto” glassware line is a fusion of the Japanese refined sense of simplicity and cubic design: minimalist design sharply cut into glass with color overlay imparts a unique luster to the finished product.

Modern sense blended with the traditional Edo-kiriko technique creates elegant yet practical pieces that enrich everyday living.

About the Designers

Kazuyo Komoda
After graduating from the arts and crafts design department, Musashino Art College, joined a design office, and visited Italy in 1989. Worked with Studio Santa Chiara and after that became independent. Now working on mainly interior design and product design with the base in Milan.
