Yusuke AIDA, a world renowned environmental ceramic artist and designer, runs a kiln, "Yusuke Aida Studio", in Oshino, Yamanashi prefecture. The kiln is the only one in the world that has mass production capacity for ceramics made using the sophisticated Japanese neriage technique of layering different colors of clay to create intricate patterns.
