124 Processes to Make the Perfect Sound


SHIOYASU's lacquer-encased speakers, poetically named "Something to Touch" , are the product of their collaboration with the design term "Mile". SHIOYASU's wajimanuri ware is made using state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, involving 124 separate processes, including a 5-year timber dying period. Production of a wood base, and application of lacquer and adornments. Through these processes, they create droplet-shaped speaker cases that have soft inner surfaces and hard outer surfaces, and boast an ample acoustic range.
