Ringo - Apples If you've got a Japanese apple in the U.S.A., it has to be a Fuji Apple. Due to regulation by the USDA, the Fuji is the only variety allowed to be imported into the U.S.A. from Japan.

Fuji Apples are crunchy, sweet and juicy apples that have excellent shelf life. The Fuji Apple was created at an agriculture testing center in Japan's Aomori Prefecture in 1939 by crossing two American apple varieties - the Red Delicious and Rails Genet.

Many Fuji Apples are now being grown not only in Japan, but in China, North Anerica and other locations around the world. These apples are full of sugars and so do not need any additional sweetening. They can be eaten raw, enjoyed in salads or made into a delicious apple sauce.

Fuji Apples can be easily stored at room temperatire. For longer storage period, place the apples in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator.

First International Corporation

We are a general trading firm located in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, in northeast Japan, handling fresh fruits/vegetables, fish, wood products and miscellaneous products since 1994. Focusing on exporting local products from Aomori such as apples, yams, peaches, carrots, daikon radish, mackerel, salmon, etc.

Fuji Apples

Japanese consumers prefer the crispy texture and sweetness of Fuji Apples. Our area, Aomori Prefecture, is the best known apple growing region of Japan. Of the roughly 750,000 tons of Japanese apples produced annually, about 400,000 tons come from Aomori and 52% of those are Fuji Apples. We supply crispy textured and sweet Fuji Apples to the U.S.A. with full confidence.
