Private Meeting Arrangements with Japanese Businesses by JETRO


The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan's principal organization for implementing trade and investment policies, is please to announce its JETRO BIZMATCH @ MD&M West 2008 program to all U.S.-based medical device companies. Let JETRO bring you face-to-face with Japanese companies technologically advanced in the medical device industry to discuss business partnerships, licensing, joint research or distribution agreements.

JETRO will arrange and facilitate one-on-one meetings with U.S. and Japanese companies in the medical device industry interested in expanding their business - free of charge.

U.S. companies in the medical device industry are encouraged to apply, especially in the product areas or technologies of the following:

�  Medical Products: IV components, polymer, metal tubing, disposable products, medical filters, medical adhesive and tapes, in vitro diagnostics kits, sterilization products.
�  Manufacturing Devices: Metal/resin die/press, precision cutting, robotics, electroplating, laser etching/welding, surface treatment and coating, packaging.
�  Medical Devices Components: Metal and plastic components, electric motor, pumps/valves/tubes, coil and spring, medical electronics components.
�  Medical Materials: Precious metal and alloy, resin and rubber, polymer, nano/ micro materials.
�  Software: Medical IT systems.
�  Others: Clean room, disinfection /sterilization devices, CRO, CMO, QC/QA.


*JETRO cannot guarantee meetings with any Japanese company, as their participation is dependent on their desire to meet participating US companies.

Number of Participants

Japanese companies: 10 companies (5 large companies & 5 small to medium companies)
*Screening will be made by JETRO if the number of participants are beyond expected

US companies: 30 companies (As much as we can arrange business meetings)
