First showing of KUROKI denim brand at the ENK menswear trade show

At the ENK menswear trade show held in New York in January 2011, a 'Tomorrow' section that gathered budding brands was established. Most of the fabric used in the products of the Los Angeles brand Prospective Flow, which was introduced at the trade show, is from Kuroki Denim in Okayama.

Fall 2011 was Prospective Flow's third season and the brand has had an exhibit in the PROJECT Show in Las Vegas in the past. The brand is mainly sold at Los Angeles boutiques. The brand was started by four young Japanese and American creators in 2008. Japanese fabrics are used and the clothes are produced in Los Angeles.

The 2011 fall collection layers the image of an old-fashioned atmosphere in clothing called 'boro' (rags) that were used in Aomori villages and which are shown in the Asakusa Amuse Museum exhibit 'BORO' with that of a Japanese school uniform. The denim with its heavy damage processing and particular style is a topic of conversation for visitors. The buttons are rusted by the designers themselves and reminiscent of the fabric. The jeans have a relaxed silhouette and the shirts and jackets are characterized by slanted pockets. Japanese premium denim is used for the jeans pocket fabric and they are produced in the U.S., so both Japanese and American flags are printed on them to casually call attention to the fact that the product blends the beauty of Japan and the U.S. The buyers' attention is drawn to products that match Japanese materials and Japanese culture to American taste.
