LitePoint establishes Japan subsidiary, seeks to gain above 70% market share

Founded in April 2000, LitePoint Corporation provides advanced test solutions for the development and manufacturing of wireless devices. Ten years after its founding, LitePoint opened an office in Tokyo. We caught up with senior vice president of sales at LitePoint, Luc Schoups, and representative director of LitePoint Japan K.K., Takashi Sato, to get a look into LitePoint's expansion to Japan and their experience working with JETRO to establish the Japan office.

Financial data management solutions provider, Asset Control, opens Tokyo office
December 15, 2010

New York-based Asset Control provider of centralized data management solutions for financial institutions, announced the opening of an office in Tokyo, Japan to meet growing customer demand.

Coyote Point, provider of delivery and acceleration solutions for web and application servers, opens Japan office
February 1, 2011

Coyote Point, provider of application delivery, acceleration and load balancing solutions for web and application servers, announced the opening of a Japan office, a Japanese-language Equalizer Series product line, and Japanese website. "We are heading into 2011 with a focus on Japan, the second largest IT market outside of the United States. Coyote Point is making the necessary steps for our Japanese resellers to capitalize on the significant opportunities in this market," Michael Hayes, President of Coyote Point, is quoted in a press release saying.

Engine development company, Scuderi Group, establishes Asia headquarters in Japan
February 14, 2011

Scuderi Group, which licenses its engine technology to engine manufacturers, announced the opening of an office in Nagoya, Japan's automotive hub. The office will serve as the company's Asia headquarters and seek to "address demands for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions," states a company press release.

Entropic Communications opens Japan office to provide silicon and software technologies enabling connected home entertainment
February 15, 2011

Entropic Communications, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company, announced the opening of a Japan office to provide its silicon and software technologies that enable connected home networking and entertainment. Company President and CEO, Patrick Henry, is quoted in a press release saying Entropic's customers and partners in Japan "represent the key innovators across the connected home networking ecosystem."

Investment manager Ashmore Group obtains Discretionary Investment Management licence in Japan and opens Tokyo office
March 3, 2011

Ashmore Group, a specialist emerging markets investment manager, announced it has obtained the Discretionary Investment Management licence for marketing its products to pension funds in Japan and has opened a Tokyo office.
