Japanese Games Breaking Into U.S. Markets: Gaining Popularity at Game Connection 2012
According to Game Connection 2012 organizers, over 800 companies from 56 different countries attended the event to conduct business meetings. Among those, over 200 gaming companies, from more than 35 countries and regions showed their interest in Japanese games. With the game industry worldwide shifting rapidly toward social and casual games with the rise of smartphones and tablet PCs, many Japanese gaming companies have made the move to the San Francisco area to join other gaming giants...

Haruki Murakami's "Norwegian Wood" Launched in the U.S.
"Norwegian Wood," the new film by Tran Anh Hung (Academy Award nominee for SCENT OF GREEN PAPAYA), based on the internationally acclaimed and bestselling novel by Haruki Murakami that sold over 10 million copies in Japan, will finally be available at select U.S theaters starting in January 2012.

JETRO's 2011 Anime/Manga Consumer Survey
JETRO conducted a survey in March 2011 to ascertain the views of U.S. teenagers regarding anime and manga content. Out of 105 male and 95 female students, covering a wide range of ethnicity, 42% of respondents had never watched anime before while 58% had.
