To access innovation, many large pharmaceutical companies accelerated globalization and diversification of their Research network through biotech acquisitions. This presentation will describe a twist on that strategy, establishing a California biotech start-up for a large Japanese Pharmaceutical company. Topics to be covered will include discussion of the transcultural challenges and progress made over the past three years in creating an early stage therapeutic antibody pipeline.
