KANRIN-MARU SYMPOSIUM

The Japan Society of Northern California will mark the 150th Anniversary of the arrival of Japan’s first diplomatic mission to the United States with a major international symposium on the future role of the U.S.-Japan partnership, and emerging regional and global common agendas.

Do not miss this important event, which will examine the future of this 150-year-old “indestructible relationship” in its diplomatic, business and civil society dimensions.

Taro Kono, Member, House of Representatives, Liberal Democratic Party

Hitoshi Tanaka, former Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senior Fellow at the Japan Center for International Exchange

Glen S. Fukushima, CEO of Airbus Japan and former President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan

Dr. Daniel Okimoto,Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Director Emeritus of the Asia/Pacific Research Center at Stanford University
