Opportunities in Japan’s Solar Market for Silicon Valley CompaniesThe first seminar of the JETRO Clean Tech Seminar Series for Silicon Valley Companies will focus on the current state of the solar market in Japan. During this seminar, Silicon Valley companies will learn the benefits and advantages of expanding to the solar market in Japan. Our U.S company guest speaker will share his thoughts on opportunities in Japan’s solar market. Our Japanese company guest speakers will share their interests in the current solar technologies and how they are looking to collaborate with the U.S. solar market. Following the event, seminar participants will have a chance to network.

Fuji Electric Systems Co., Ltd. is focusing on the clean technology and environment business through its core technology power electronics and automation. The business areas range from solar cell, geothermal, fuel cell and water purification. From the late 70’s, Fuji Electric Systems has been developing the amorphous Si Solar panel “F Wave”. The feature of “F Wave” is the world’s lightest weight solar module, flexible by film laminating and suitable for a large area, such as the roof of a factory and school. Fuji Electric Systems also developed the very unique roll-to-roll manufacturing process as a low cost solution. Recently Fuji Electric Systems Co., Ltd. is establishing the vertical integration business of solar power with its experienced on-grid control, high efficient solar inverter and power device as well as solar panel.
