The Obama Administration has enacted many new laws and regulations including significant health care reform. Many new laws which are already in place and are expected to pass in the near future will impact the operation of Japanese companies doing business in the United States. Particularly, the trend under the current administration in labor, employment and immigration will directly impact many Japanese companies in hiring and its HR practices. The current administration also has increased the budget for enforcement so employers must act proactively to stay competitive and avoid any enforcement problems and costly litigation. This seminar addresses the current issues under both new and pending laws and practical measures for Japanese companies.
