Japan Pavilion at the 2010 BIO International Convention

Organization Name: BIO (Biotechnology Industry Organization)

The 2010 BIO International Convention, presented by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), returns to Chicago’s McCormick Place May 3-6 and once again the  Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is the official organizer of the Japan Pavilion.  With the world's second largest economy and the second largest biotech market, Japan is a key player in life science sector.  For the BIO Chicago, 18 organizations will travel from Japan to exhibit in the Japan Pavilion.  Many of these exhibitors are pioneers in biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and regenerative medicine. These firms will present their leading-edge technologies, products and services on this key global stage. 

 

JETRO will also present an international case study on Tuesday, May 4 at 9:00 AM.  “From Regional to Global – Open Innovation Giving Boost to Japanese Bio SMEs” will explore how the government has helped create more than 700 new biotech companies and the impact their research and technology is having.
