Third-Party Event
Organization Name: Entretech

GreenTech 2008 will be a premiere showcase of smart young companies developing products with advanced technologies that will transform the energy and eco marketplace within the next five years. The event will highlight companies that are spin-outs from either Caltech or UCLA, and will bring a wide-range of perspectives on the next generation of innovation. The program will be divided into Energy Production and Renewable Fuels, Products and Materials.

The first session will look at the latest commercial developments in solar, wind and fuel cells. The second session will feature companies with novel methods of producing materials from renewable sources and generating biofuels from one of the most promising sources of raw feedstock, cellulose. Green Tech will feature Elevance, Inc. a recently formed renewable chemicals company, along with keynote presenter, Dr. Phillip Finck, Associate Laboratory Director for Nuclear Programs at the DOE-funded Idaho National Laboratories. Dr. Finck will discuss the resurgence of interest in this source of energy and new technologies destined to make it safer and cleaner. GreenTech will also include a top-flight Venture Capital panel, including CMEA Ventures and Battery Ventures, which will highlight investment opportunities in the rapidly progressing green technology sector.
