In the early 21st century, the process of East Asian economic integration is progressing as a result of an increasingly complex web of bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements. The region continues to feature the fastest growing economies in the world. This symposium will bring together thought-leaders from Australia, Japan, Vietnam and the United States to examine the pace and depth of East Asian economic integration, the business opportunities they present, as well as existing challenges. This analysis and dialogue will be of particular relevance to the Chicago business community considering initiating or adding to business and investment interests in East Asia.
