JETRO Event
Discover New Japanese Products – Reveal your beauty from the inside out
JETRO will participate in the Natural Products Expo West (NPE 2010) operating two Japanese food booths for the third consecutive year. We will promote 19 exhibitors from Japan - all eager to intrigue you with their latest food products. From popular products already distributed in the U.S., to new products never seen before, you won’t find a better time to greet and meet these prestigious Japanese food sellers all under one roof.
JAPAN PAVILION BOOTH
The Japan Pavilion Booth (Hall D #3578-3593), hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), will consist of fifteen Japanese food exhibitors. From the best quality green tea to low-calorie konjac noodles, come try the samples and choose which products will best add to your product listing. For questions on site, please go to the MAFF and JETRO information booth (Hall D #3578)
In order to promote the products exhibited at the Japan Pavilion, MAFF will also host the "America's At Home Japanese Food" at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 20th, 2010. This event will be invitation only and operated by JETRO. The Beverly Hilton’s distinguished Executive Chef Suki Sugiura (renowned for serving nearly 1,300 Hollywood VIPs during this year’s 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards) will invent a new Japanese inspired home cooked American dish, using the ingredients exhibited at the Japan Pavilion booth. Click on the SEMINAR tab for more info.

About Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF):
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) is a cabinet level ministry of the Japanese government responsible for regulation of the agriculture, forestry and fishing industries while overseeing the process from production to consumption. MAFF also supports rural development and the promotion of the welfare of rural inhabitants with a view to achieving a stable food supply and the sound development of the agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries.
About Osaka Prefecture:
Since times past, Osaka, famous for its food culture, has been called "kuidaore," literally meaning "bringing ruin upon oneself by extravagance in food. This is due not only to Osaka's proximity to the sea and mountains, which makes many varieties of ingredients readily available, but also because various products were easily brought to Osaka from remote areas on ships via the calm Seto Inland Sea. Today, cuisine from around the world is enjoyed here; restaurants reputed for both fine taste and attractive prices line the streets downtown in the entertainment quarters.
