Bloomberg Japan Conference in New York
Tuesday, June 7, 2011, 8:30AM - 5:00PM
ENGLISH
Third-Party Event
Organization Name: Bloomberg
Bloomberg is organizing a "Bloomberg Japan Conference" at Japan Society in New York (333 East 47th Street) on Tuesday, June 7.
Mr. Kiichiro Sato, President of JETRO New York, will be one of the speakers of the conference.
REBUILDING JAPAN:
Since March 11, global investors have given their vote of confidence in Japan's ability to rebuild. They bought a record $11 billion of Japanese stocks. The Bank of Japan provided unprecedented liquidity even as G-7 nations intervened to ensure the stability of the yen. But concerns remain over how Japan is going to finance its reconstruction and the impact on the country's debt, already set to grow more than twice the size of its economy this year even before the earthquake. Longer-term, what are the implications and likely outcome of Japan's 3Ds -- debt, deflation and demographics -- on the country's ability to fund its deficit and get on the path to growth?
Bloomberg will bring together foremost experts on Japan, investors and business executives to discuss the opportunities and the risks as Japan rebuilds once again.
