JETRO BIZMATCH @ nano tech 2008

JETRO will hold "BIZMATCH @ nano tech 2008" (February 13th -15th), a company presentation and business matching event, during "nano tech 2008," the world's largest nanotechnology event. Held in association with the Nanotechnology Business Creation Initiative, BIZMATCH @ nano tech 2008 aims to connect Japanese and foreign firms in nanotechnology and related high-tech fields. Services Offered to Participants
- 15-minute company presentation at nano tech 2008 (Feb 13th)
Present your company to potential partners at the world's premier nanotechnology event.
*Simultaneous Japanese-English interpretation provided.

- Business meeting arrangement with meeting space provided (Feb 13th -15th)
Take part in one-on-one meetings with potential Japanese partners
*In general, meetings will be arranged on the spot; pre-arranged meetings will be fixed by organizers depending on interest by Japanese firms.
* In principle, each meeting will be one hour long and will be in English. Japanese-English interpreters will be available.

- Introductory seminar on Japan's nanotechnology market (Feb 13th, morning)
- Free admission to nano tech 2008
- Publication and promotion (include listing in directory and on website)

Participation Fee
FREE
Participation in BIZMATCH @ nano tech 2008 and the above services are offered free of charge.
* Participants must cover other costs such as transportation, accommodation, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements
1. Participant firms must be non-Japanese and both of the below
i) Searching for a Japanese business partner
ii) NOT have a subsidiary or branch office in Japan

2. Other important requirements:
i) Participants must be present on the first day (introductory seminar and your company presentation) and take part in all pre-arranged meetings.
* Ideally, participant(s) should be person(s) responsible for sales and/or technology divisions.
ii) In general, the company must NOT have an exclusive sales agent or distributor in Japan. Foreign companies with sales agents or Japan distributors must obtain a letter of consent from such third parties and submit it to JETRO prior to or at the start of the event.
iii) Participants must have tangible products, services and technologies relevant to nano tech 2008.
* Universities and research institutes whose main purpose is presenting their research work are NOT eligible; consulting firms, resellers/distributors, and outsourcing firms are also NOT eligible.

How to Apply
Complete the Application Form and submit it, together with 5 sets of supplementary materials (company brochure, product literature and technical white paper) and 4-5 images (e.g., company logo, photo of products, facilities, etc.) to your nearest JETRO office.

Application Deadline

Screening
Event organizers (JETRO and NBCI) will screen applicants and select around 15 companies to participate. Results will be available from mid-December 2007.

nano tech is the world's largest annual nanotechnology exhibition and conference event, providing a platform for companies and organizations from all over the world to showcase their cutting-edge products, services and technologies.
