Mr. Shigeru Kimura has been named Chief Executive Director of the Los Angeles office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), effective April 7, succeeding Mr. Keizo Tsuchiya who is now Director General of the JETRO Osaka office.

The JETRO Los Angeles post is Mr. Kimura’s fourth overseas assignment. He has served as Director at JETRO Nairobi, Executive Director of JETRO Dubai, UAE followed by his last overseas assignment as Director General of JETRO’s Hong Kong office.

Just prior to coming to Los Angeles, Mr. Kimura was Deputy Director General of Trade and Economic Cooperation Development at JETRO’s Tokyo Headquarters.

Mr. Kimura joined JETRO after graduating with a Masters of Economics Degree from the Graduate School of Economics, Sophia University, Tokyo.
