NOTA, Inc., incorporated in December 2007, was created with the express purpose of starting a web-based services company that allows users to manipulate personal and publicly available digital content in any manner they choose. Projects involving NOTA Portal can be uniquely personal, or may be done in a collaborative sense – allowing multiple users the opportunity to remotely work on the same design project until its conclusion is reached. With the advent of YouTube, Facebook, and Myspace, there is significant interest in "mashing-up" content (the act of taking audio, video, print and still content and combining into one format) from diverse areas into a final end product and displaying it on the web for the world to see.
