Established on December 1st, 2004, PUCC has been working to develop cross-industry specifications that would allow connectivity among various types of digital devices over heterogeneous networks. The PUCC protocol would utilize and bridge existing networking standards (e.g. mobile, internet, UPnP/DLNA, IEEE 1394).
PUCC's vision is to enable all digital devices to communicate with each other seamlessly using P2P networking technology. PUCC-enabled devices would be able to send and retrieve data without the need of additional software.

P2P(Peer to Peer) Universal Computing Consortium(PUCC) was established to realize a seamless peer-to-peer communications technology platform that enables the creation of ubiquitous high-level services between connected network devices. PUCC will enable the creation of inter-operable, technology-neutral protocols through inter-industry co-operation, achieving synergies by focusing on common goals.
