To view the information below in Japanese, click here.

JETRO will be participating in the international food conference Worlds of Flavor 2012, held in the Napa Valley. We will be holding a seminar and tasting for the attending food industry and food media professionals designed to deepen the appreciation of Japanese tea and increase its export potential. Along with this seminar we will be preparing a pamphlet to introduce Japanese tea. In order to list sources where our customers may purchase tea, we are soliciting company information from tea suppliers located in the U.S.

  1. JETRO Event Participation Outline

Summary: We will hold a seminar and demonstration on Japanese tea at the Culinary Institute's Worlds of Flavor conference. By explaining the history, service, and culinary uses of tea to culinary professionals in the U.S. we hope to support the expansion of the U.S. market for Japanese tea, to strengthen the Japanese tea brand and ultimately boost exports of Japanese tea.

    Date and Time: November 1st - 3rd, 2012

Location: The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone Contents: Sencha, Genmaicha, Hojicha and Matcha featured.

    * Expected attendance for the conference is 800 people, and the seminar will hold roughly 40 participants.

    * In addition to the seminar, we will serve matcha and distribute pamphlets to the general audience, at a break or breakfast time TBD.
